Sweden is a candidate for the UN Human Rights
Council for the period 2013-2015.
Karl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden, this morning informed a meeting of the State Council of the name of the baby princess who was born yesterday morning. The name Estelle came as a great surprise to most Swedes. The King said that she of course also has the names Silvia and Ewa, like her grandmothers.

During the final panel discussion at the Northern Future Forum, the nine prime ministers spoke about which ideas they will be taking home from today's and yesterday's talks. Denmark's Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt said that it had been a meeting where "we demonstrate that we don't know it all and that we can learn from one another."
